What are something we can do next year to help us get through?
My answer: I could check in on my family. Honestly I didn’t check on my aunt, grandma nor sister. I occupied my time and mind with celebrating my husband and just lost track of time. But I’ll definitely check in next go around
Would you do anything different on Father’s Day? (As in activity, or conversation)
My answer: I wouldn’t change anything except for checking in on family. Father’s Day was so nice. I was glad I was strong enough to celebrate my husband and not be mopey and crying. I remember when I lost my mom and the first Mother’s Day came I was a mess and I couldn’t celebrate anyone because of my mental BUT GOD. That wasn’t the case this time THANK YOU JESUS.
This Father’s Day was hard for me because I lost my Grandfather early this year. This was the first one without him so It felt different not to celebrate him. People of GOD I can’t stress enough on the power of prayer. You must have a prayer life to get you through. I prayed Saturday night, and I meant my prayer. When I say GOD showed up and showed out. No tears drop from my face. I was at peace. I was able to be present for the Men, that are still here in my life and celebrate with them. I celebrated my Husband, and we had a such a great time all day. I give all the glory and praise to GOD because he answered my prayer.
"I lift up my eyes to the
mountains- where does
my help come from? My
help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and
earth.
-Psalm 121:1-2
"Do not grieve, for
the joy of the Lord
is your strength
-Nehemiah 8:10
Father I just wanna thank you. Father I thank you for answering my prayers. Lord I ask that your people will get a prayers life, because I feel that it’s the only way we can survive and overcome grief. I ask that we can trust that you’ll answer each and every prayer we may have. I ask for comfort as we are still on this journey. I ask that we also get an understanding that yes we love our loved one (fathers), and yes it may hurt, and yes we may be in state of shock, or just on a emotional roller coaster but “We may endure for a night but joy will come in the morning”. I ask GOD that we can rest in that. knowing that all is well all will be well in the mighty name of Jesus I pray Amen .
